Cardinals probably turn to Colt McCoy vs. Seahawks with Kyler Murray still recovering – CityNewss

Kyler Murray is likely to miss Week 11 against the Seahawks

Resting Murray for another week makes sense, as the Cardinals are on a farewell after their game against the Seahawks. This gives Murray more time to recover and get ready for Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.

McCoy was strong in his first start of the 2021 season when he faced the San Francisco 49ers. The veteran completed 22-of-26 of his throws for 249 yards and a touchdown in the 31-17 victory. But McCoy and the Cardinals as a whole struggled against the Carolina Panthers. McCoy scored 107 passing yards and threw one interception while completing 11-of-20 of his passes.

This Sunday will not only be the Cardinals without Murray, but also star receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The wide-back has missed the previous two games with a hamstring injury and was ruled out for head-by-head coach Kliff Kingsbury on Friday for the Seahawks game.

Even without Murray and Hopkins, McCoy and Arizona’s offense could thrive, as Seattle averaged an average of 400.6 total yards per game, the second most in the NFL.
